No one hurt after Bay City business catches fire Wednesday morning

BAY CITY, Mich. (WJRT) – Fireplace crews had been capable of save nearly all of a Bay Metropolis companies after spending hours placing out a hearth inside its warehouse.

It occurred Wednesday at Serv-A-Pure Firm, which is positioned on Columbus Ave. on the nook of Farragut St. simply outdoors of downtown.

Bay Metropolis Fireplace Chief Kurt Corradi advised ABC12 that fireplace crews arrived on the scene round 5 a.m. and located mild smoke coming from the again of the constructing as the fireplace intensified inside. Finally, extra items had been known as in and the fireplace was put out.

Corradi mentioned that there was important injury to the warehouse a part of the constructing, which made up about 25-30 % of the construction. The remainder of the constructing was saved.

Nobody was inside the constructing on the time and there have been no accidents reported.

Corradi mentioned that fireplace investigators are nonetheless working to find out what triggered the fireplace.

Columbus Ave. was closed for a number of hours Wednesday morning as the fireplace was being put out.
