The Senate has requested the Committee on Banking, Insurance coverage and different Monetary Establishments to think about the request of President Muhammadu Buhari on the affirmation of the nomination of the Managing Administrators and Government Administrators of Asset Administration Company of Nigeria (AMCON) and the Nigerian Deposit Insurance coverage Company (NDIC).

This was disclosed by the Senate by way of its Twitter deal with on Thursday. In keeping with the Senate, the committee is anticipated to report again to the home in two weeks.

It tweeted, “Senate Chief strikes that the Senate do take into account the request of Mr. President C-in-C on the Affirmation of the nomination of the next individuals for appointment as Managing Director and Government Administrators of AMCON and NDIC.

“…in accordance with Part 10(1) of the Asset Administration Company of Nigeria (AMCON) Act, 2010.”

The request of Mr. President C-in-C is referred to the Committee on Banking, Insurance coverage and different Monetary Establishments to report again in two weeks.
